Overview:  

A Summer Bridge Student Assistant position is a part-time, short term position with The Summer Bridge Experience at Reynolds Community College. The Summer Bridge Experience is designed to ease the transition from high school to college. The 2024 program will have approximately 50 participants taking SDV 100 and obtaining supplementary instruction in English and Mathematics and will run from July 8th to July 25 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of those weeks from 9:00am - 1:00pm. 

Responsibilities:  

The Student Assistants will attend the orientation for the students and parents, assist in preparations leading up to the start of the program, utilizing general office equipment and software, and act as a course assistant and mentor during the program.      

Qualifications:

• Must have good standing with at least a 2.5 or better GPA
• Earned at least a B in SDV 100 or 101
• Demonstrate strong communicate skills. 

This position requires 12-15 hours per week, from July 8, 2022 – July 25, 2023 plus 4 hours on May 8th in the evening.
